Special — Qingdao International Beer Festival

Qingdao International Beer Festival began in 1991. It opens on the second weekend of August each year, in the middle of tourist season in Qingdao, and lasts for 16 days. The festival includes many activities like beer tastings, literary evenings and beer-drinking competitions. More than 100 beer brands from all over the world have successfully participated at the festival. The slogan for the Qingdao International Beer Festival reads: 'Qingdao-GanBei (cheers!) with the World!'

Qingdao International Beer Town

It is called the largest international beer metropolis in Asia. And its area is 35 hectares and has two function regions—the south function region is for entertainment and the north function region is a synthesis one. Now tourists, who go to Qingdao International Beer Town, not only enjoy the activity of tasting beer but also enjoy the great entertainment. In the function synthesis one of the north, a great amusement park has been established and its name is "around the world", and there are lots of international popular amusement facilities in it.

Tsingtao Beer was introduced to the United States in 1972, and soon became the top-selling Chinese beer in the U.S. market. The Tsingtao brand is sold in more than 50 countries worldwide and accounts for more than 50% of China’s beer exports.
